Top 10 Best Smoothie Recipes

top ten best smoothie recipes

I want to share with you my top 10 best smoothie recipes. Smoothies are great as a snack or even as a meal replacement and they can be extremely nutritious depending on the ingredients that you use.

Doctors recommend that we get 3-5 servings of fruits and vegetables daily and smoothies can make that seemingly impossible task really easy.

My favorite smoothie recipe provides 3 servings of fruit! That is an incredible way to start your day off right!

What kind of protein to use in the best smoothie recipes?

The type of protein that you use in the best smoothie recipes will depend largely on your ability to metabolize the different kinds.

I prefer whey protein, specifically the EAS brand. I like the way it tastes and it is easily digested.

Protein for the best smoothie recipes

The other type of protein that comes highly recommended is egg white protein.

The one protein that I stay away from is soy protein. With the current state of GMOs and the increasing use of “RoundUp Ready” soybeans by Monsanto, you never know what you are ingesting when using soy protein. I avoid soy protein at all costs.

Our Tips for Preparing the Best Smoothie Recipes

  1. If you are going to be preparing smoothies regularly, invest in a good quality blender.
  2. Frozen fruit is less expensive and just as nutritious as fresh, and makes great smoothies.
  3. Add liquids to the blender first, then powders, fruit and ice cubes last.
